ADVOCACY
Central Texas AGC serves as the voice of the construction industry at the local, state, and national levels, advocating for policies that protect and promote commercial construction. In recent legislative sessions, the industry secured several major victories and many achieved behind the scenes. Looking ahead to the upcoming mid-term elections, all 150 Texas House seats, half of the Senate, and statewide leadership positions will be on the ballot. As always, Central Texas AGC will keep you informed on the latest developments at the Capitol.
SAFETY
Central Texas AGC members prioritize job site safety as a core value in every workplace. To support this commitment, Central Texas AGC employs a full time Safety Director and regularly offers a wide range of training opportunities. These include OSHA 10 and 30 hour courses, as well as classes on excavation, fall protection, scaffolding, confined space competent person training, and First Aid and CPR. Most courses are available in both English and Spanish to ensure accessibility for all workers.
