Gearench Machining Facility
Builder: Barsh Company
Design Firm: Winton Engineering
Owner: Gearench Clifton, TX
“Gearench” is an existing 55,000 sf manufacturing facility located in Clifton, specializing in fabricating tools for the oil industry. With production services already including several gear designs, Gearench was in need of a unique edge in a very competitive gear market. The new Machining Facility project consisted of a fully conditioned 15,000 sf pre-engineered metal building manufacturing space with a two-foot thick foundation, painted spray foam insulated walls and roof deck, epoxy floors, polished concrete center aisle, high-speed overhead door, LED lighting, two overhead supported 5-ton cranes and 35,000 sf of new parking lot.
Barsh Company was interviewed for the project in June 2014 and was awarded the construction contract August 15, 2014. By the time Barsh was awarded the contract, the delivery dates for the new pieces of equipment (manufactured in Japan and Germany) were already established, so there was absolutely no time to spare. Construction started on the $1.3M facility on August 18, 2014 and the project was completed three weeks ahead of the equipment delivery deadline.
Gearench has always specialized in fabricating gears, but now has 3D custom metrology capabilities to produce the most advanced Herringbone, Helical, Double Helical and Spur gears.
