  • General Contractor Membership is open to general contractors whose principal line of work is commercial building construction and who have been engaged in the business of general contracting for two or more years. Associate Membership is open to persons, firms or corporations engaged in the capacity of a subcontractor, or in the furnishing of material, supplies, insurance, bonds, services or equipment for the construction or maintenance of building, either public, private residential or industrial.

  • Complete the appropriate General Contractor or Associate Membership application and submit with first year dues to the CentexAGC Chapter offices.

  • This membership category is for general contractors whose principal line of work is building construction. For the first year of membership a $100 initiation fee must accompany the membership application. For each year thereafter annual dues are $1,200. Additionally, general contractor members pay service fees (assessments) on each and every general construction prime contract and construction management contract awarded to them. The service fee is approximately 1/10 of 1% of the contract amount, and the maximum annual assessment amount (aggregate) is $35,000.

    This category includes specialty contractors, suppliers and distributors. For the first year of membership a $50 initiation fee must accompany the membership application. For each year thereafter annual dues are determined on a sliding scale based upon the previous years Commercial work.

  • Yes, as each Chapter is run independently and membership dues to the a local Chapter are used mostly for local industry services. One-time assistance for visiting AGC contractors is afforded as a courtesy.

  • CentexAGC services are primarily focused on safety, advocacy, networking, education and building market information.

  • CentexAGC is located at 4500 West Waco Drive, Waco, Texas. We are minutes from IH-35 and downtown Waco.

  • Yes! The Chapter classroom, boardroom and executive boardroom are available at no charge for members conducting routine business such as outreach, safety, or other education. Plenty of parking is also available. Please contact us for scheduling information.

  • Safety, Activities, and the Women in Construction Committees meet regularly, typically each month.

  • Yes, the CentexAGC PAC is funded by individual, personal (non-corporate) funds and supports candidates for the Texas House and Senate. Most of our PAC funds are sent to our state lobbying group, the Texas Building Branch for distribution.

  • Yes! CentexAGC works with a variety of schools in the region and even has a Scholarship available for current college undergraduates who are pursuing an accredited two year or four year degree in a construction related field. You can access the Competition Rules & Regulations here.
